Falsettos is a groundbreaking, two-act musical by William Finn and James Lapine that explores the evolving dynamics of a deeply unconventional modern family. Set in early 1980s New York, the show follows Marvin, who leaves his wife and son for a male lover, ultimately forcing their entire tight-knit circle to redefine love and acceptance.

Zoe Zelonky (Trina) is thrilled to be making her debut with Dogged Utopia. Zoe has appeared at Asheville Community Theatre in The Sound of Music (Liesl von Trapp), Bat Boy (Bat Boy), and Elf (Jovie) and at Hendersonville Theatre in Something Rotten (Bea Bottom) and Legally Blonde (Serena). Zoe is the Education Director at ACT and has directed and choreographed over 50 productions, including ACT’s The Little Mermaid, Matilda the Musical, Mean Girls: High School Edition, and Hadestown: Teen Edition. Zoe would like to give a special thanks to the cast, crew, and creative team, her family, and her Tanglewood Troupers.

Erin earned her BFA in Musical Theatre at Otterbein University. After college, Erin worked for Andy Blankenbuehler and Andrew Lloyd Webber on the Broadway Revival of CATS. Erin has worked

Mary Katherine O’Donnell has worked professionally on stage and screen. Best known for Her work in SALEM, PUPPET MASTER: LITTLEST REICH, LUKE AND JO and most recently, THE GOOD THIGS DEVILS DO. She has also worked for 9 years at the Asheville Performing Arts Academy as an instructor and Director. She had two little girls and a darling husband.

John is an accomplished collaborative pianist known for his intuitive abilities and his innate musical style. A classically trained concert pianist, he has degrees in piano performance from the Eastman School of Music and Temple University. Mr. Crawley has performed extensively throughout the Eastern United States and Europe, both as a soloist and as a collaborative artist.
He has appeared in concert at such noted venues as Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall in New York; the Maurice Ravel Auditorium in Lyon, France; the Diana Wortham Theatre in the Wortham
Center for the Performing Arts and the Asheville Art Museum in Asheville, NC; Mechanics Hall in Worchester, MA and has performed with college and regional orchestras, including the Asheville
Symphony and the Hendersonville Symphony, as well as the New York based Vivaldi Chamber Orchestra and the Lyric Theater of Oklahoma. He has also been a featured artist with the chamber music organization, Pan Harmonia. He currently holds the position of Director of Music at Asheville School where he has now taught for 27 years directing and overseeing the entire music program.
Mr. Crawley has also done extensive work in musical theatre. This is Sean's first foray back into theater in a while. Almost 10 years to be precise. He wishes to dedicate this show to his family, his ever supportive wife, Kara, and his kiddo Ash.
