On Stage Now

Elly is thrilled to be back with Dogged Utopia after having made her debut with Nevermore in October of last year! Most recently, Elly has been seen on the stage at Asheville Community Theatre in Matilda (Big Kid/Adult Ensemble), Elf (Jovie), and Bright Star (Edna/Storyteller). When not at the theatre, Elly works at Brevard Music Center as the Operations Manager and can frequently be found curled up with her two sweet kittens and a good book.  Elly would like to thank her family for always being her #1 fans, her friends for still wanting to hang out with a Grown-Up Theatre Kid, and Emily for the costumes and the love. 

Candice is absolutely thrilled to be back on stage after an eight year hiatus. She is especially grateful to do it with such an incredible cast and crew under incomparable direction, seriously thank you Mark and Kelly! Special shout out to her on stage enemy but best friend offstage, Elly Leidner, who believed in her from the very beginning. Candice is a 16 year theatre educator at Brevard High School and wife and mother to the best family a gal could ask for. She'd like to thank her mother and husband for their endless support and love, which this wouldn't be possible without. Now sit back and have the time of your life; I know we will! 
 

Paula was most probably singing coming out of her mother’s womb. Granted, no actual lyrics, other than GET ME OUT OF HERE, but singing none the less.  She hasn’t had a *lot* of opportunity to sing since moving here in 2017 from the North East so, the second Mark reached out with the offer, she jumped on it!  She also loves doing Shakespeare, (King Lear, Prospero, Lady Capulet, to name a few wonderful experiences) and pretty much loves entertaining folks whether they want it or not.  A follow up to her one woman show, Who Does She Think She Is?, is in the works.  Paula is forever grateful for Andrew!

Corey is thrilled to be returning to Dogged Utopia, where he was last seen portraying Richard in Thrill Me. He is grateful for the chance to be back in such a bold and imaginative creative space. Previous favorite roles include Jerry in The Full Monty and the fabulously flamboyant Roger De Bris in The Producers at Asheville Community Theatre. Corey extends his heartfelt thanks to the directors, cast, and crew for their artistry and collaboration, and to audiences for supporting live theatre. He hopes you enjoy the show as much as he has enjoyed bringing it to life. 

Lucien is a local actor and artist. His highlights include Shakespeare in Somthing Rotten!, Wadswoth in Clue, Jonathan in The Play That Goes Wrong, Hotspur in Henry IV and Harry Percy in Richard II in Montford Park Player’s Historic War of the Roses season, Hal in Magnetic Theatre’s New Queers Eve, Lewis in Pippin at ACT, Antonio in Montford Park Player’s Twelfth Night, and Rocky in the Rocky Horror Music Show. He is thankful to his family for supporting him in his passion.    

Hogan is a 25-year-old actor from Asheville, NC. Hogan was last seen on the HART stage as the purser in Anything Goes! Hogan has performed for many theaters around WNC, and some of his favorite roles include Willard in Footloose, Jack Kelly in Newsies, Eugene in Brighton Beach Memoirs, and Duke in the Great American Trailer Park Musical! Hogan is excited to join the cast of Tonya and Nancy to tell and sing about this scandal on ice!
