(All roles are paid with playing age 45-55)
Jennie - All American girl next door, who just happens to be gay. At 17, she was into a lot, and good at most. At 35, she is still into a lot, and questioning what she is into. At 40, she is more comfortable in her skin, but not always. At 55, in final act, she finally feels OK about things.
Denise - Gorgeous and perfect with a daughter, good looking husband, and successful career. She and Jennie were best friends while growing up and continued that friendship throughout their lives. At 17, she was the class beauty, and second only to Jennie in things that she (Denise) felt unimportant. At 35, she is questioning what makes a perfect life. After 40, she almost has it figured out.
Sarah Jane - Talks a lot, and more often than not, her yacking involves humor. She is married to Jennie's brother, Larry Don. Sarah Jane and Larry Don have three sons who are their primary reason for being. Sarah Jane hasn't been out of Edgefield much. At 17, Larry Don is her life. After 40, she questions why she ever married Larry Don.
Larry Don- Small town brother of Jennie, husband of Sarah Jane and classmate of Denise. He is never seen without a cap. At 18, Larry Don was very opinionated and all opinions were, yes, truly small town, but by 41, a lot has changed.
Laurie - Jennie's partner, and Jennie's rock. She has always felt OK about things.
She's a rock, a sounding board and a good egg. She has to be to win over Larry Don and put up with the three Edgefield girls.
