Please come prepared to sing 16 bars (about 60 seconds) of a rock song, in the style of Queen. You may sing an actual Queen song if you’d like. On the day of auditions, you will need to provide an accompaniment track for your audition selection. This can be an mp3/YouTube karaoke track on your phone that you have cued up and have ready to go. We will provide a speaker and aux cord to connect to mobile devices. You will also be taught a dance combination, so wear clothes and shoes you can dance in.
Content Awareness: Some bad language and sexual innuendos are present throughout the show.
Actors must be at least 16+ to audition for We Will Rock You.
Rehearsals will begin July 8, and are usually Monday - Thursday from 6:30pm to 9:30pm.
Show dates are August 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30 at 7:30pm
and
August 24, 31 at 2:30pm.
CAST REQUIREMENTS
Galileo (Male)
A misfit who keeps hearing strange voices and songs in his head which deliver messages he can’t understand. He is confused and unaware that he is the one the Bohemians have been waiting for, who will lead them to the place where the last remaining live instruments have lain hidden for hundreds of years.

Vocal Range: D below middle C to A above middle C. High rock voice with strong falsetto. Full voice falsetto is to E two above middle C.
Scaramouche (Female)
Another misfit who also gets into trouble with the Secret Police, Scaramouche meets Galileo in hospital and they run away together. Her sharp wit keeps Galileo on his toes and gradually they fall for each other.

Killer Queen (Female)
Killer Queen is a ruthless businesswoman and is in charge of Global Soft, the worldwide corporation which is responsible for the suppression of all live music. She’s power crazy and tough, as well as beautiful.
Sings "Killer Queen", "Play the Game", "A Kind of Magic", "Don't Stop Me Now", and "Another One Bites the Dust"...among others.
Vocal Range: E below middle C to E two above middle C. Strong rock belt. Full soul/rock voice.
Khashoggi (Male)
He works for Killer Queen, getting rid of any original or creative musical thoughts and going after the Bohemians. His victims are sent to the Seven Seas of Rhye.
Sings "Killer Queen", "Play the Game", "A Kind of Magic", and "Seven Seas of Rhye"...among others.
Vocal Range: D below middle C to Bb above middle C. High rock baritone with strong falsetto. Full voice falsetto to E two above middle C.
Buddy (Male)
Buddy is an old librarian and a hippy who has studied the sacred musical texts to the extent that even the Seven Seas of Rhye cannot entirely erase them from his mind. He’s a comic character who acts as a foil to Galileo and Scaramouche towards the end of the play.
Sings "These Are the Days of Our Lives" among others.
Vocal Range: E below middle C to E above middle C. Light rock voice.
Brit (Male)
One of the Bohemians who is intent on discovering the secrets of live music, and who believes that someone will come who will show the Bohemians the way.

Vocal Range: D below middle C to B above middle C. Full rock voice.
Oz (Female)
One of the Bohemians who is intent on discovering the secrets of live music, and who believes that someone will come who will show the Bohemians the way.

Ensemble
A group of people who play Super Yuppies, Bohemians, Secret Police, Ga Ga Kids, etc.
